Cardamom Nut Butter

Making your own nut butter is very easy and allows you to get creative and try combining some of your favorite flavors. I have been loving cardamom lately and this nut butter is the perfect combination of flavors. You can always substitute the cardamom for cinnamon or just leave it out. However, I highly recommend giving this a try!

Cardamom is a spice that originated in India. It has a slightly sweet flavor and impressive medicinal benefits. It’s similar to cinnamon in its warming qualities and is used in both sweet and savory recipes. Cardamom has been used for centuries as an ancient remedy due to its impressive medicinal properties. According to some studies, cardamom is high in many antioxidants, some which have been shown to reduce inflammation.  Additionally, it may help lower blood pressure due to its diuretic effect and help treat bad breath because it can potentially kill common mouth bacteria and prevent cavities.
