Crispy Chickpeas
I’ve been loving my new air fryer lately and trying out all kinds of recipes. I used to make baked chickpeas in the oven but they take a long time to really crisp up. Making them in the air fryer was so much quicker and easier.
Chickpeas are a great and healthy snack, they are full of protein and are a rich source of vitamins, minerals and fiber. You can use any flavor combination you like but today I made Salt and Vinegar.
Recipe:
Drain and rinse chickpeas and pour into a bowl
Toss with a little olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt and pepper (or any seasonings of choice)
Pour chickpeas into the air fryer and cook for 12-15 minutes at 400, shaking every few minutes so they cook evenly*
Remove from basket, adjust seasoning if needed and enjoy!
* No air fryer, no problem! These can also be baked in the oven, just set at 400 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes.
**Not only are these chickpeas great as a healthy snack but they are also good on salads, soups or anywhere you like an added crunch!
